Community Events Committee Update
Submitted by Courtney Larson on January 5, 2007 - 4:14pmAs always, December was a busy month not only with family celebrations but also in terms of community events. On December 6th our fellow Montclair senior residents enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Giorgio's Family Restaurant. The food was great and the Platinum Vocal Jazz Choir of Forest Park High School put on a beautiful show. Thank you all for coming and making this event so special.
The children of Montclair must have been good all year round because on December 16th Santa and the Elf came to visit them on an awesome fire truck. Keep up the good work kids, so that they keep coming back! The caroling on Dolphin beach was very atmospheric too with a nice bonfire to keep the crowd warm on that beautiful winter evening.

We are now in a New Year and I am looking forward to implementing some changes as we move forward. At the last Board meeting of 2006 the Board made significant progress in setting the course for preparing to provide improved services to the community. Before we can proceed however, we need the Membership to weigh-in and give us the green-light by voting to approve the fiscal year 2008 budget* at the March annual meeting. For the next few months I will be making this point over and over again -- Please plan to Vote and in casting that vote, I strongly encourage you to support the Budget. In asking for your support, I promise to use this page, townhall meetings, and directed mailings to make sure you understand fully what the Board is proposing.
