General Manager's Corner: Snow and Ice Removal

Who is responsible for snow removal in Montclair? The owners of the streets are responsible for the maintenance to include snow removal; the majority of the streets in Montclair are owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).  Approximately 1.9 miles are owned by the Montclair Property Owners Association (MPOA).  Streets within sub-associations are owned by the sub-associations which have contracted with the MPOA for snow removal services.

In case Montclair is hit with another snow storm, a complete listing of Montclair streets, the responsible party, and a point of contact can be found on the MPOA website homepage at www.montclairva.com

Covenants Corner: Annual Precinct Inspections

The Covenants Department is preparing for 2007 Annual Precinct Inspections. These inspections will begin March 15, 2007 and take place until every property in Montclair has been inspected.  Please take this time to ensure that your property is up to par with current MPOA Community Guidelines.

A copy of the current Community Guidelines can be found on the official MPOA website at www.montclairva.com (under the ‘Documents and Forms' menu) as well as on ArmstrongConnect (under the ‘Reports and Documents' menu).  You may also pick up a paper copy from the main office.  Please contact Courtney Larson at 703-670-6187 if you would like to learn more about ArmstrongConnect.
