Are you Eligible to Vote at the Annual Meeting?
Only Owners of Record in good standing are eligible to vote, and only one vote per lot may be cast on each issue. To be in good standing, any financial obligation to the Association must be paid by 5:00 p.m. on the Record Date. February 11, 2008 is the Record Date for the 2008 Annual Meeting. Renters are not eligible to vote unless given assignment of voting rights evidenced by a properly certificate by the Owner of Record.

Look for your Annual Meeting Packet!
2008 Annual Meeting Packets will be mailed to Members on February 12, 2008. Members eligible to vote can do so four ways—by mail, by fax, electronically via the internet, or in-person at the Annual Meeting on March 15. If you chose to vote online, instructions and pin numbers will also be included in the Annual Meeting Packet.

Candidate's Night: Online and Off

The MPOA Annual Meeting is fast approaching, and with it, our annual election. This year there are four At-Large seats on the MPOA Board of Directors that will be filled by your votes. Candidate's Night provides our membership the opportunity to meet and question the candidates who have offered to be on the ballot and seek a position on the Board of Directors and serve a three-year term. Candidate’s Night will also address the proposed FY2009 budget which will be voted on by the membership at the Annual Meeting. This year, Candidate’s Night will be held February 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the MPOA Building.

Can't make it and still want to hear what the candidates have to offer? There is a second option. This year, Candidate's night will be taped, and the individual candidate statements as well as their responses to questions will be posted to the MPOA web site. Not quite the same as being there, but if time doesn't allow you to attend in-person you will at least have an opportunity to go online, and see what you missed.
