The Holidays Are Coming!

Hello, Montclair.  It has been a while since I submitted a written article to you.  But with the holiday season upon us, I thought it would be nice to send out a personal note.  Thanksgiving will be here in four weeks, then Christmas only four weeks after that!  Many of you will be traveling to visit loved ones, or taking advantage of time off from work.  But for those of you staying in the area of Montclair, we have several opportunities to celebrate the season of giving and good cheer. 

In December the Montclair Seniors group has their annual Holiday Party to look forward to on December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Montclair Country Club.  Tickets are $5 per person and will go on sale at the MPOA office November 17 through December 8. When picking up your tickets, please remember that MPOA only accepts check or money orders, NO CASH. 

December also brings the Holiday House Decorating Contest.  Contestants need to have their applications/nominations in to the MPOA office by December 12.  Santa comes to Montclair in December as well, at the Caroling and Bonfire on Friday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m., followed by Santa’s Ride through the community on Saturday, December 13 starting at 9:00 a.m.  Look for more information on this in the December Montclairion.   
   
I want to wish everyone in the community a Happy Thanksgiving.  I myself will be one of the thousands traveling for the holidays, and for everyone else who joins me on the road and in the skies, safe journey!
