Lake Dredging
The Board of Directors awarded a contract to Gahagan & Bryant Associates, Inc. to perform a pre- and post-dredging survey in an amount not to exceed $79,000. The contractor will prepare contract plans for use by a dredging contractor, and provide pre-dredging and post-dredging surveys to calculate silt to be removed and to verify the actual amounts removed. The survey is a preliminary step to the preparation and award of the dredging contract. The actual dredging is scheduled for fall 2007.
Insurance
The Board of Directors accepted a proposal to change insurance providers for general liability and property coverages. If there are no excessive penalties for cancellation, this change will result in a $30,000 savings in premiums.
