Registration for the 2007 Lake Montclair Triathlon is now open and you can sign up today at: www.finswheelsfeet.com! The event will consist of a one-mile open water swim in the lake, a four-loop, 24-mile bike along Waterway Drive, and 6.2 mile run through the beautiful community.

The event is open to roughly 500 participants ages 13 and over, and we encourage Montclair residents to join in the excitement of this wonderful second year event! The triathlon will not only promote increased health and fitness throughout the entire community, but also proceeds from the event will be going directly to the Montclair Community charities of choice. In 2006, the event raised over $14,000 for the Prince William County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and Azalea Charities, Inc. This year the event will also be raising proceeds for the Prince William Public Library Foundation in addition to the Red Cross and Azalea Charities, Inc.

For the event to be a huge success in 2007, "Fins, Wheels, Feet Racing" will be looking for some wonderful volunteers to help them on race day! If you're unable to participate in the race, they'll need over 200 volunteers for a variety of positions such as registration helpers, kayakers, body markers, transition area helpers, aid station helpers, finish line helpers, post race party helpers, and volunteers along the bike/run courses to help cheer the athletes on and keep them on the right track! Fins, Wheels, Feet Racing is also looking for local businesses that may be interested in sponsoring the event. Some examples of possible sponsorships are gift certificates, monetary donations, raffle prizes, food/beverage donations for the post race party, water-bottles, race bags, and more!"
