Neighborhood Watch Training Session
Location(s)
With the help of the PWC Police Department, the Safety Committee is teaming up Montclairions to start a Neighborhood Watch program right in Montclair. Neighborhood Watch is a FREE program of the PWC Police Department and is supported by community residents. Residents volunteer their time by organizing patrols to monitor their neighborhood, or simply keep their eyes and ears open as they go about their daily business.
There will be a Neighborhood Watch Training Session held Thursday August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the MPOA building. The session will last approximately an hour and a half to two hours with a question-and-answer segment included.
Once the program is in full swing, ‘Neighborhood Watch' signs will be posted throughout Montclair as a deterrent to potential burglars or thieves. It only takes one person per block to make this program work. Volunteer your time, attend the training session, and help make Montclair a safe place to live!
To RSVP for the Neighborhood Watch Training Session, please e-mail Courtney Larson at newsletter@montclairva.com by August 20 to ensure that everyone who attends receives an information packet.
For questions or to receive more information on the Neighborhood Watch program, please contact Officer Melissa Garza at mgarza@pwcgov.org.
