Covenants Corner
How did they find out about my overgrown lawn, the weeds in my flower garden, the trashcan in view on a non-collection day, my commercial or recreation vehicle?
The majority of Violation Letters are sent during Precinct Inspections, when every house in Montclair is inspected. You can view any pending violations through ArmstrongConnect. When you log on, click the ‘YOUR UNIT DETAILS' menu item on the left-hand side. Under the ‘ACCOUNT' tab, click on ‘VIOLATIONS' and you can view any open or closed violations, the number of notices sent, and check to see whether a pending violation has been re-inspected and closed out.
Many maintenance violation letters are sent as a result of a call to the Covenants Department from an anonymous resident. The majority of homeowners want to get along with the residents in their community, so they may not confront them with maintenance or covenants issues. Instead, they call the Covenants Department. The suspected violation is confirmed by a member of the Covenants Staff, and consequently the violation letter is born.
If you do receive a violation notice, please be sure to swiftly correct the violation and make every effort not to repeat it.
For those homeowners who keep up the maintenance of your yard and home, we thank you for helping Montclair to continue looking great!
For those homeowners who do not, you should be reminded that keeping your yard neatly mowed, weed free and your trashcan out of sight, benefits all of the homeowners in Montclair.
