Annual Meeting Packet

Annual Meeting Packets were mailed to all Owners of Record in mid-February and the Election Committee would like to take this opportunity to ask each and every member to go through their mail and take action. The Annual Meeting Packets look like this (image also pictured to the right). If you are an owner in good standing (all assessments, fees and charges paid by February 11) and did not receive a packet, please call the MPOA office at (703) 670-6187.

Candidate's Night 2008

Meet the Candidates, Budget and Issues Night was held Wednesday February 20 at the MPOA Building. This year's candidates--Chris Casey, Brad Hancock, Tracy Hansen, and Doug Taggart--attended the program. Budget and Finance Committee Member Dave Marr gave a brief presentation on the proposed FY2009 budget and MPOA President Jim Cech spoke on behalf on this year's advisory survey regarding community priorities. Each candidate was given two minutes to make an opening statement. In addition, each candidate was asked the same five questions dealing with Montclair issues.

2008 Annual Meeting is March 15

Are you Eligible to Vote at the Annual Meeting?
Only Owners of Record in good standing are eligible to vote, and only one vote per lot may be cast on each issue. To be in good standing, any financial obligation to the Association must be paid by 5:00 p.m. on the Record Date. February 11, 2008 is the Record Date for the 2008 Annual Meeting. Renters are not eligible to vote unless given assignment of voting rights evidenced by a properly certificate by the Owner of Record.
