The Blue Star Memorial Garden located in front of the MPOA Office is a great spot to stop, reflect, and even read a book. The Department of Historic Resources (DHR), Virginia’s historic preservation office, is considering nomination of Prince William Forest Park Historic District (boundary enclosed), to the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. The National and state registers are the official lists of places in Virginia recognized as having architectural, archaeological, or historical significance at the local, state, or national level. About 490 other districts in the Commonwealth share this honorary status.

On Thursday, December 16 at 10 a.m. in the Halsey Lecture Hall at the Virginia Historical Society located at 428 North Blvd, Richmond 23221, the State Review Board and the Board of Historic Resources will consider the district for approval.
