Adults can enjoy a variety of fall beers while our youngest visitors can take a turn in the bounce house. Volunteers are always in high demand. Final Summer Movie Night of the season

It’s the final summer movie night of the season. On Saturday, August 26, join rebel fighter Gyn Erso and her comrades as they undertake a dangerous mission to steal the death star plans for the rebel alliance in Rogue One. The movie will begin at sunset (8:30 p.m.) so make sure you get there in plenty of time to scout out a good seat. Don’t forget to bring your recreation photo ID (only two guests per pass). No swimming or playground and other recreation activities will be permitted on the beach once the event begins. We hope to see you there!

Oktoberfest volunteers – Now seeking

Attention residents, Montclair needs YOU to help us pull off Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest is one of the biggest events in our community, and we need the help of our magnificent volunteers. Volunteering at our events is a wonderful way to get involved in the community, connect with your neighbors, and for students to earn volunteer credits for school! This year, Oktoberfest is on Saturday, September 30, and though it seems a long way off, it is just around the corner. Dock Insurance/Boat Registration – October 1

Beginning October 1, the MPOA will begin accepting applications for renewed dock and shoreline improvement permits and boat registration forms for the 2017-2018 season. Both forms and their corresponding documentation must be submitted to the MPOA office by October 31. Residents who do not register their boats by November 10 will incur a $15 late fee. Residents who do not renew their dock and shoreline improvement permit registration will incur a $200 late fee unless proof is presented by November 10 that insurance was in effect since November 1, 2017.

Summer is almost over, and a new school year is about to begin. Parents are invited to send photos of their youngster’s first day back to by September 5 for a chance to see their child in the October Montclairion. Don’t forget to send your child’s (or children’s) first name(s) and their grade level with your pictures!

Last Beer on the Beach of the season with Nick Coons *ATTENTION*

Postponed Beach Opening

Summer is over and school will be here before we know it. What better way to commemorate the occasion than a little recognition in the October Montclairion? Montclair parents are invited to send photos of their youngsters on their first day back to by September 5. Don’t forget to include your child’s (or children’s) first name(s) and grade along with your pictures!

Dolphin Beach Premiere – Rogue One

Come out to Dolphin Beach on Saturday, August 26, for one last flick beneath the stars. Join Gyn Erso and her team of rebels as they attempt to steal plans for the Death Star for the rebel alliance. The movie will start around sunset (8:30 p.m.) so make sure you get there in plenty of time to get a good seat. Swimming and other recreational and playground activities are prohibited for the duration of this event.

Beer on the Beach starring Nick Coons

Join your neighbors for the last Beer on the Beach of the season. Relax at Dolphin Beach with your friends and a cold drink while listening to the tunes of music artist Nick Coons. Don’t miss out on Friday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. Only 21 and older will be admitted to this event. All residents younger than this age must leave Dolphin Beach, including the pavilion, the playground, and the fishing dock, before Beer on the Beach begins. Don’t forget to bring a driver’s license, your recreation photo ID and a cooler for your drinks! Swimming and other recreational and playground activities will not be permitted during the event.

Beach Closing Notification

Due to inclement weather, the beaches will be closed today, August 7, 2017. Lifeguards will not be stationed at any of the recreation facilities. Please call the MPOA at (703) 670-6187 with any questions or concerns.
