Volunteer Appreciation Banquet, this Wednesday

You’ve given your time, and now we want to give back. This Wednesday, February 28 the Volunteer Appreciation Banquet will be held at Giorgio’s Family Restaurant at 7:00 p.m. If you have RSVP’d, come and join us for a night of fun with your neighbors where we extend our gratitude and recognize one special Montclairion who has gone above and beyond. The last day to RSVP was Friday, February 23 at 5:00 p.m. If you have not RSVP'd you will not have entry to the event.

Volunteer Banquet, RSVP by February 23

Coffee with the Candidates, this Saturday

West Beach Gates and Boat Ramp unlocked until 5:00 p.m.

The West Beach parking lot gate and boat ramp will remain open until 5:00 p.m. tonight and from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday February 21. This is to accommodate all residents who may need access to the West Beach Boat Ramp to remove their boats before the beginning of the lake lowering process on February 22. As of 8 a.m. on February 22, the gates will remain locked for the duration of the project.

Annual Election dates and reminders

The Annual Meeting is almost here, and it’s time for all Members in good standing to cast their vote. Remember, there are a few deadlines to keep in mind whether you plan to vote in person, electronically, or by mail. February 24: Coffee with the Candidates. ***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** Lake Lowering to begin Thursday, February 22, 2018

The MPOA will begin lowering the lake on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. This is in preparation for the commencement of the Spillway Alteration Project. For more information about the Spillway Alteration Project, you are encouraged to attend the Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the MPOA Building.

Office Closed Monday for Presidents Day

The MPOA office will be closed on Monday, February 19 in observance of Presidents Day. Phone calls and emails will not be monitored out of the office at this time. All phone calls and emails will promptly be attended to when the office reopens on Tuesday, February 20 at 8:30 a.m.

Annual Meeting – March 10

The Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 10 at the Southlake Recreation Center. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., call to order will be at 10:00 a.m. All Members in good standing are welcome to vote at the meeting in person. In addition to voting, the FY2019 Budget will also be presented. Please come out and join us for this yearly event that is so crucial to the running and day-to-day maintenance of our beautiful community.

Your packet will contain the Annual Meeting Notice, the FY2019 Budget, candidate profiles, third amendment narrative, and instructions on how to use your QR code for electronic voting. Pet Waste Reminders

Spring is just around the corner. For many of us, that means spending more time outside to enjoy the warm weather with our furry friends. While we are all very excited to see the end of winter, let’s not forget to clean up after our pets, especially on sidewalks and similar sites used by pedestrians. Please keep in mind that Prince William County Ordinance requires all owners to clean up after their pets to keep our community clean and sanitary.
