The MPOA would like to request your help. We have been receiving ballots for the Annual Meeting and unfortunately, have received a minimal amount of cast votes. We need 250 more votes to ensure minimum voting requirements are met. Failure to meet quorum may require another meeting to vote on the budget at the expense of the membership. Meeting quorum is important to allow the business of the Association to be carried out and an orderly transition to a new Board of Directors. All Owners in good standing are encouraged to cast their vote and make their voice heard for this year’s At-Large election.

Renovations for Kids’ Dominion have been completed. The park is now open to residents.

The Annual Meeting is almost here, and it’s time for all Members in good standing to cast their vote. Here are some deadlines to keep in mind:

February 23: Coffee with the Candidates. MPOA office at 10:00 a.m. Get to know our At-Large candidates.

March 1: Deadline for mailing paper ballots. Please do not send to the MPOA office. The mailing address will be provided on your envelope.

March 7: Referendum Ballots and Electronic Voting Deadline due at 5:00 p.m.

March 9: Annual Meeting at the Southlake Recreation Center at 9:00 a.m.

ATTENTION: Kids’ Dominion will be closed to the public starting today (2/14) for the installation of new mulch and mats, and is currently anticipated to reopen by Wednesday (2/20). Parking will also be limited during this time. An update will be posted once the work is complete

The MPOA office will be closed Monday, February 18th in observance of Presidents’ Day. Phone calls and emails will not be monitored at the office during this time. All phone calls and emails will promptly be attended to upon reopening Tuesday, February 19th at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at the Southlake Recreation Center. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and call-to-order at 10:00 a.m. All Members in good standing may vote at the meeting, if they so choose. The FY2020 Budget will also be presented at the meeting. The Montclair Property Owners Association Board and Staff have been briefed on the incident that occurred early Monday morning, February 4th, 2019 and that has since been the subject of recent reporting within the news. 

The safety and well-being of our Members and Residents is the top priority of the Association. To that regard, while the Association has arranged for off-duty police patrol in Montclair, our authority to address criminal acts in Montclair is limited. Following this incident, the Association has taken steps to increase the off-duty police patrols throughout Montclair, in addition to scheduled patrols of Association common area.
