As Hurricane Joaquin strengthens and approaches the coast, management staff will be monitoring Lake Montclair and taking any appropriate actions needed to maintain the lake level. The sluice gate was opened Tuesday, September 29 around 9 p.m. to accommodate the increased precipitation in the area. The sluice gate will remain open in anticipation of precipitation forecasted for Thursday, October 1 through Monday, October 5. While the lake level may fluctuate during this time, the lake will not be lowered in excess of 2 feet below the standard 188 feet above mean sea level. The sluice gate at the Lake Montclair dam has been opened to accommodate the heavy rainfall in the area. The sluice gate will remain open until the lake is lowered to and able to maintain its normal level of 188 feet above mean sea level. A little rain won't stop our Fall fun! Join us tomorrow, September 26, 3 p.m. at Dolphin Beach for Oktoberfest. This event will be held rain or shine, so pack an umbrella as you come down to enjoy the day. Due to the forecasted weather, inflatable activities including the bounce houses, slide, and mechanical bull have been cancelled. Festival games, balloon twisting and pony rides will go on as scheduled. Keep an eye on this page for further Oktoberfest updates.

As Oktoberfest grows each year, it is vital that we reach 100% volunteer commitment to keep the event running smoothly. Dust off those lederhosen and get ready for a day of fall fun! On Saturday, September 26 at 3 p.m., come celebrate Oktoberfest with us at Dolphin Beach. With harvest festival games and bounce houses for the kids, and a variety of fall beers for the adults, there’s fun for all ages at Oktoberfest! German “oompah” band Low ‘N’ Brows will start the show with their singing and dancing fun, while uniquely entertaining E3 will close the night with electrifying versions of songs you know and love.
