Montclair’s three lakeside beaches officially open for business tomorrow, May 28 and will be staffed by both lifeguards and recreation guards from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Monday, September 5. Residents will need to present their Recreation Photo ID with a 2016 sticker in order to access the beaches. Below are some helpful rules and reminders for visiting the beaches this season.
Recreation rules are posted at each beach, at the entrance and on lifeguard stands, and should be observed at all times while visiting the beaches. Residents failing to do so may be asked to leave the beach by staff.
The beaches are closed from dusk to 6 a.m., and anyone found at these locations during this time may be subject to arrest for trespassing.
Pets are not permitted at the beaches.
Residents are discouraged from feeding geese.
