Welcome Summer

Summer is finally here, and so is recreation season! We are all excited for the Montclair beaches to officially open, but before we all rush to grab our towels and flip-flops, we need to keep a few rules in mind to make sure we all have a safe and fun summer.

  • Don’t forget that you’ll need an official Recreation Photo ID with the updated 2017 sticker. These passes will be checked at all three beaches and Kid’s Dominion. Residents who do not show an updated Recreation Photo ID will not be permitted onto the facilities. If you haven’t done so already, make sure that you obtain your updated sticker at the MPOA office. We are now open until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights, so take full advantage of extended hours if you are unable to make it during the day!

  • The beaches are closed from dusk to 6:00 a.m. Anyone found on the beaches and parks during this time may be subject to arrest for trespassing.

  • Pets are not permitted on the beaches during recreation season. This includes the beach as well as the pavilion and the dock areas of Dolphin, West and Beaver Landing

  • Residents are discouraged from feeding geese.

A full list of rules may be found at each of our beaches as well as Kid’s Dominion. Check it out!

Any severe weather or emergency closing information will be posted on montclairva.com throughout the summer, so be sure to keep a close eye on our website and our Facebook page. All questions and concerns may be directed to our office at (703) 670-6187. We are always happy to assist and to ensure that our residents get to enjoy the amenities.
