INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION – July 4, 2019 – Rain Date: TBD
Bike Parade: 10am
Join us at Henderson Elementary School at 10:00am with your decorated bikes for the parade! The bike parade will end at the MPOA office for popsicles! Take pictures with Uncle Sam!
Beach Celebration: 6pm
After a break, head down to Dolphin Beach for more fun starting at 6pm. The Hackens Boys will begin playing! ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT!
Fireworks: 9pm – Facing Lake Montclair *DAM ENTRANCE/PATH IS CLOSED FOR THE EVENT
Food Trucks will be present from 6pm-10pm at Dolphin Beach - please being cash or card.
Community events are for residents only, and all residents must present a 2019 Recreation Photo ID to enter events. Limit 2 guests per ID on event days. Personal grills are not allowed. No glass containers of any kind.

Parking - Bus Routes/Bike Parking – Must present Rec id to board the bus
Don’t go looking around for a parking spot at Dolphin Beach, we are providing free transportation to and from Dolphin Beach for all major festivals! Check out the map of the stops on our website https://www.montclairva.com/independence-day-celebration or in the attached document! Bus will only stop at designated bus stops for safety purposes. If there is no one at the stop, the bus will continue onto the next. A picture of the bus route will be published on the Montclair website, public MPOA Facebook page, and via email blast. Bus stops will be adorned with a red bow. There is a designated stop on a first come, first serve basis for bike parking - near the entrance to Spillway Lane. It will be labeled, so keep an eye out!
Independence Day Parking & Road Closure Notice Those who live past the intersection of Boxwood Dr. and Dolphin Dr. were sent a letter regarding the scheduled road blockage for the July 4th event (July 4th from 5pm-10pm) at Dolphin Beach. Event attendees are encouraged to use the bus transportation or find parking before the road closure. Please be kind to the neighbor’s property in which you park in front of and ensure to follow all traffic laws.
