MCC Update from the MPOA President, Rob Clemens

According to an email sent to the MCC members, negotiations for the sale of the club have ended. The email is included below:

Dear Montclair Members,

I am writing you today to express my gratitude for your loyalty during this difficult time at the club. I know that quite a few of you have expressed concern over the rumors that the club is being sold. I have not entered into any sale agreement and have withdrawn from any negotiations.

I have given my full support to our superintendent who has a detailed plan on how we will restore the greens. Sean has outlined the plan for you below.

Thank you again for your support, and I look forward to seeing you at Montclair!

Sincerely,

Mark Jeong

Owner, Montclair Country Club

Bear in Mind

It’s that time of year where bears are on the move and looking for food. We can see bears foraging for food and young bears searching for new territory. There have been some recent reports of bear sightings in the surrounding area. The MPOA is not responsible for the removal of bears or any wildlife.

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) has some helpful advice on how to prevent attracting a bear to your neighborhood and yard. The most common food attractants are bird feeders, pet food, and garbage, but grills, compost bins, and beehives can also attract bears. For more information, call the Wildlife Conflict Helpline at 1-855-571-9003 or visit: https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/wildlife/bear/living-with-black-bears/
