Hello: Your health and safety are at the forefront of every decision we make within the community. The Montclair Property Owners Association Board of Directors (BOD) continues to do all that we can to protect our community and every homeowner currently residing in it. As the Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) continues to be utmost on our minds, we want to provide an update on some of the current actions Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has undertaken to help protect us in this fight against COVID-19, and the effects of this as it pertains to our community. Specifically, on May 29, 2020, at 12:00 AM we expect the Governor to execute Phase 1 for Northern Virginia. As we ease forward and make the necessary changes and adjustments to assure that we meet all required safety regulations, please be aware of the changes that will occur in the coming days. To prepare for Phase 1, the BOD directed staff to prepare for re-opening our recreational facilities in a phased approach. Management has hired and begun training Recreation Guards and obtained requisite supplies in order to comply with CDC guidelines for sanitization and social distancing. The attachment below provides a reference for the current state of each facility for Phase I. The recreation guards will be on duty and the common area beaches will be open for fishing and exercise. This includes swimming at your own risk and the ability to launch and retrieve kayaks, paddle boards, fishing boats, and inflatable rafts for the purpose of partaking in exercise and recreational activities on the lake. Additionally, to support social distancing and maintain access for MPOA residents, the BOD decided to suspend CG 4.1.3.a and CG 4.1.3.d. By so doing, beach access is for residents only, with the exception of the following: 1. Persons displaying a restricted RPID may bring a single guest age 16 or older as a caregiver, who is solely responsible for the child 2. Children ages 11 years and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older Of note, MPOA Recreation IDs displaying the 2019 sticker will remain valid until midnight on June 30, 2020. The MPOA office will be open for in-person processing of Rec ID’s starting Monday, June 1, 2020, by appointment only through SignUpGenius. Residents will be able to select an available time slot that best suits their schedule. There will be 12 appointments per hour from 12 pm to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
