American Disposal Services provides the community's waste removal services. Trash and recycling services are not included with the assessment, and an account must be set up by contacting American at (703) 368-0500. Trash and recycling containers should be placed at curbside no earlier than dusk the day prior to pickup and removed prior to the following day.
Normal Refuse: Thursdays, 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
Yard Waste:  Thursdays - No tires, rocks, concrete, dirt, sod, tree stumps, and construction trash. Call if more than 15 bags of leaves.
Special: Thursdays - No charge for furniture and other large, non-metal household items or ferrous metal/white good items, such as appliances, but CFCs (Freon) must be removed from appliances and tagged appropriately.
Recyclables: Mondays- Newspapers, cans, glass, tin, aluminum, plastic bottles and jugs (#1-#7). No used oil, rocks, sod, tires, wet paint, or hazardous waste.
Residents must take used motor oil to a service station or the County Landfill for recycling. Residents must take hazardous waste to the County Landfill on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for collection and disposal. Thanksgiving: No trash or recycling collection on Thanksgiving. Trash will be picked up on Saturday, November 30, 2019. 
Christmas and New Year's: Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. 
Recyclable Bins/Carts: American Disposal initially issues recycling bins for free. A 64-gallon recycling cart will be delivered at no charge upon request.
Replacement Fee: Bins - $10, Carts - $75
Trash Toter Insurance: American Disposal offers trash toter insurance for $1 per month. If your trash toter is lost, missing or stolen and you have trash toter insurance, American Disposal will deliver a replacement toter at no additional charge.
Trash Toter Rental: $2.50 per unit per month ($7.50 per quarter) for 95 gallon toter; $75 toter replacement fee.
