Autumn Joy

Does it make you smile? This category is for designs that reflect the joys of the season - colorful leaves, harvesting, cooler temps, friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, turkeys, and more.

Lights & Surprises

Keyword: Lights! Surprise the judges with your lighted display of any autumn theme.

Howl and Scream

This one is specifically for the bone-chilling Halloween displays that will make visitors want to howl, scream and perhaps laugh their fear away.

Yardless Horseman

This category is ideal for homes with limited front yard space or porch-only displays that do not extend into yards.

Pumpkin Wicked This Way Comes

Jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin-orange is the major theme. Any display that revolves around one or more pumpkins should choose this category.

Judging criteria will include:

1. unique design

2. creative use of materials, and

3. overall presentation.

RULES:

Contestants must be Montclair Property Owners Association homes. Only residents of the Montclair community may submit nominations. Entries must be received no later than 5pm on Sunday, October 19.

Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street or public sidewalk.

Photos that accompany a nomination may be considered during the judging process. They may also appear in further communications from the MPOA. Photos are not necessary to nominate, however, additional photos will be taken by MPOA staff or Events Committee members.

Winners will be notified by yard sign after Friday, October 24.

Photos of winning displays may be featured on the MPOA community website, Montclairion magazine, and resident e-Blast. A link to the feature page on our community website will be shared to MPOA social media pages.

Winners will receive a yard sign acknowledging their accomplishment.
