Saturday with Santa

December 14, 2019

9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

He's making a list. He's checking it twice….and he's coming to Montclair whether you've been naughty or nice. Be on the lookout because Santa will be riding through Montclair on his big red fire truck. Come outside to say hi to Santa and catch a sweet treat as he drives by.

Santa needs to take a cookie and milk break before he visits Southlake Recreation Center for pictures, activities, and snacks from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture your Santa moment.

Please consider supporting this community event as a volunteer. If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0948ACA72DABFA7-saturday

Community events are for residents. All residents must present a 2019 Recreation Photo ID to enter events. Limit 2 guests per ID on event days.

Lake Montclair Winterization

The lake will continue to be lowered by three feet to get the lake ready for winter, allow for the cleaning of the dam and docks, and accommodate the installation of a back-up sluice gate.

MPOA Budget Presentation to Membership

The proposed FY21 Budget to be voted on by the MPOA Membership at the March 2020 Annual Meeting has an annual assessment projection of $800.00 per year distributed across 3857 lots. There are two significant factors associated with this increase - Trash pickup in Montclair and Reserve contributions. The Board will be holding numerous Town Hall meetings between now and the March Annual Meeting to maximize homeowner awareness of the proposed budget. The current schedule of meetings is as follows:

Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the MPOA Office at 7 p.m.

Saturday, January 4, 2020 at MPOA Office at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the MPOA Office at 7 p.m.

Saturday, February 1, 2020 at MPOA Office at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the MPOA Office at 7 p.m.

The proposed FY21 Budget was discussed at length during the November 11, 2019 Board of Directors meeting and the annual assessment of $800 is fully supported by the current Board. All residents are encouraged to vote in favor of this change.

Copies of the draft Budget and an associated Briefing to be used at the noted Town Hall meetings can be found on FSR Connect https://montclairva.connectresident.com/ under “Association Documents” > “Financial Management.”
