Hop on Over to Montclair’s 2020 Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Dolphin Beach

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Hippity Hop, the Montclair Easter Egg Hunt is sure to be nonstop fun, making memories, meeting friends, and sharing smiles. There will be a petting zoo and snacks to share (while supplies last). Don’t miss out on this memorable event!

Please bring your camera for your photo op with the Easter Bunny, a basket to collect eggs, and your Rec IDs. Remember only two guests per Rec ID will be permitted.

NOVEC Repairs

JC Roman Construction Company will be in the neighborhood over the next couple of weeks upgrading electrical lines for NOVEC. The following streets are expected to have repairs: Avon, Beaver Dam, Candlestick, Cliffbrook, Fairway, Melody, and Waterway (from Fallstone to Northgate). Repairs should only impact each homeowner for one day. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Robert Tharpe at JC Construction at (703) 595-1754.

2020 Boat Auction

The MPOA will auction off all unclaimed boats found on Lake Montclair or boats located on the West Beach boat racks with expired or no registration stickers. Bids will be accepted beginning Monday, April 6, 2020. To place a bid, please complete the boat auction form at the MPOA Office. The form will be available a few days before the auction starts. Limit one bid per household. Please ensure boats stored on boat racks at West Beach are properly registered with the MPOA Office. Boats that are registered should currently display an October 2020 sticker, in addition to the orange Montclair sticker with a 4-digit registration number.

Annual Meeting Packets

The 2020 Annual Meeting packets were mailed to Owners of Record on Friday, February 7, 2020 by Survey & Ballot Systems, the company hired by the MPOA to administer this election. If you are an owner of a lot in Montclair and are in good standing and you did not receive a packet in the mail, please contact the MPOA Office at (703) 670-6187 to make arrangements for a replacement.

Online Ballot

Access the online ballot at https://www.directvote.net/MPOA/ using your unique Member Number and Election Passcode provided on the paper ballot then follow the online instructions. Online ballot must be cast no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

MPOA Budget Presentation to Membership

The proposed FY21 Budget to be voted on by the MPOA Membership at the March 2020 Annual Meeting has an annual assessment projection of $800.00 per year distributed across 3,857 lots. There are two significant factors associated with this increase - Trash pickup in Montclair and Reserve contributions. All residents are encouraged to review the Updated Budget Town Hall Presentation document, which includes the proposed FY2021 Budget, and view the recording of the Budget Town Hall Presentation (most recent 2/1/2020).

Upcoming Town Halls

A Town Hall meeting is scheduled for March 30, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the MPOA Office to discuss the proposed new location of the MPOA Dog Park at Hockersmith Park.

A Town Hall meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the MPOA Office to discuss the Powell’s Creek Stream Restoration. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a presentation by Tom Dombrowski,

Environmental Engineer- Prince William County Department of Public Works. Mr. Dombrowski wishes to educate Montclair residents on an upcoming project intended to restore form and function to impaired/degraded systems of the Powells Creek watershed area. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
