9/11 Memoriam – Observance Video PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY GOVERNMENT – On September 11, 2001, the country changed forever. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives when terrorists attacked the nation. Across Prince William County, 22 residents lost their lives, more than any other region in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.

Typically, in recent years since that fateful day 19 years ago, Prince William County Government has hosted an in-person memorial observance. However, because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the desire to ensure everyone’s health and wellbeing, this year the County is releasing a memorial video instead.

Please visit the County website or any of the social media platforms on September 11 to view the video.
