Boats, Docks & Shoreline Improvement’s……..OH MY! Come on down and get registered. The MPOA office is now accepting Boat Registration and Dock & Shoreline Improvement Permits now through October 31, 2021. Forms for boat registration are available here and forms for dock and shoreline improvement registration are located here. Please contact the MPOA at (703) 670-6187 with any questions. Boat Registration The MPOA Boat Registration must be renewed annually. Boats stored at West Beach must pay an annual service fee of $25 for each boat by October 31, 2021. Boats not registered by November 10th will be subject to a $15 late fee for each boat. Dock & Shoreline Improvement Permit The MPOA Dock and Shoreline Improvement Permit must be renewed annually. Owners must be current in annual assessments and have no outstanding dock or shoreline improvement violations at the time of renewal. Owners must submit the renewal permit between October 1st and October 31st. Renewal fee is $5.00 (no cash accepted) when renewed by October 31st. There will be a $200 late fee unless there is proof by November 10 that insurance was in effect since November 1st of that year. An owner who fails to submit a complete annual Dock and Shoreline Improvement Permit Application, pay the annual renewal fee, and/or provide proof of required insurance by November 10th will be referred to legal counsel for immediate action to cause the removal of the owner’s dock from Lake Montclair and all shoreline improvements from the common area.
Fall Home Decorating Contest – 10/15 – 10/22 Fall is here and we want to see your best seasonal decorations. Whether you're setting a spooky scene or rolling out your favorite family-friendly items, we want to see them all! Categories: • Fall Festive • Scariest • Family Friendly • Most Creative Judging begins October 15th and runs through October 22nd. The winners will be announced at the Trunk or Treat event (10/23) at 3 PM and over Facebook.

Trunk or Treat & Seasonal Market – 10/23 We're kicking off the day with a seasonal market at 10 AM. We're including a spooky entrance to the event this year as you venture through the Haunted Hall. For individuals who wish to bypass the hall, there will be a second entrance. Later in the afternoon we'll invite the decorated trunks down to set up and pass out the provided candy. Trunks must be set up and ready to go by 3 PM. Candy will be passed out by the trunks from 3 - 5:30 PM. Once your little ones are finished trick or treating with the trunks we invite you to browse the market for more goodies and a chance to earn a few dips into the Witch's Cauldron for some toys!
Lake Lowering 11/1 Starting on November 1, 2021, the lake will be gradually lowered (by 3 feet) over the course of a few days, in order to prepare for winter cleaning of the dam and docks along with end of season inspections as may be needed. This lowering also provides an opportunity for lake front owners to inspect/repair/perform maintenance to their docks. The level will remain lowered for 14 days and then be allowed to return to its normal level. Please remember to submit a PIR for dock repairs, if required. Please view Community Guideline 5.4.8 Docks, Piers and Wharves. In addition, please make sure if you are a lake front owner that you take the necessary precautions to secure your personal property.

The Prince William Health District What You Should Know: Vaccination Clinic
On Thursday, October 7, 2021, First, Second, Third, and Booster doses for the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine in the Prince William Health District. A Community Vaccination Center (CVC) will open. The CVC will be operated by Prince William Health District (PWHD), Virginia Department of Health (VDH), and Ashbritt, a vaccination vendor. The location is the former Gander Mountain store, 14011 Worth Avenue, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The CVC will have appointments from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Walk-ins accepted.
Virginians who are eligible are invited to make an appointment for a free booster vaccination with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The CVC will offer not only the Pfizer vaccine, but Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. To get a vaccine it is recommended that you make an appointment, visit vaccinate.virginia.gov or call 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682, TTY users call 7-1-1). Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and more than 100 other languages.
Bring your COVID-19 vaccine card or vaccine record with QR code. If you need a copy of your vaccine record, visit vaccinate.virginia.gov. Masks must be worn at the CVC.
Those eligible for the [Pfizer-BioNTech] booster dose include:
People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.
People aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.
People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks. Talk with your health care provider.
People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks. Talk with your health care provider.

Monday, October 4, Prince William Health District reopens the Manassas Mall vaccination site six days per week offering First, Second, Third, and Booster doses for the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine. In addition to the Pfizer vaccine, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be offered on various days. The Mall is located at, 8300 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109. The closest door is marked “Manassas Mall” between the Uptown Alley entertainment center and Macy’s, near the intersection of Sudley Road and Rixlew Lane. Once inside the door, turn right, and the clinic is the first storefront on the left. You can also enter through the door marked “Manassas Mall” between the At Home store and the Autobahn Indoor Speedway, proceed down the corridor, turn left, and the clinic is the first storefront on the left.
Mondays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (walk-ins accepted, vaccines offered: Pfizer, and Moderna)

If you are coming for your booster dose, please bring your vaccine card to confirm the date and type of vaccine you received in your second dose.
