The Board of Directors urges all Montclair homeowners to vote “Yes” in support of adopting the Second Amendment to the Montclair Deed of Declaration at the Annual Meeting on March 15, 2014 (see the end of this article for the proposed amendment). This amendment requires at least 67% of those casting ballots to vote “Yes” in order for it to be adopted. All of the MPOA Board members urge you to take a minute to read the information that follows. Simply voting to pass the proposed budget and to elect a Board member but leaving blank the vote on the proposed amendment, is actually a "No" vote against the document change. At the January 8, 2014 Board of Directors meeting, amendments were made to Section 3, Enclosure 1 of the Community Guidelines Standing Committee Charters - Safety Committee Charter to provide updates to the purpose, mission, and requirements for the Safety Committee. Additionally, an amendment was made to Resolution #13-135 Policies and Procedures Relative to the Collection of Routine and Delinquent Assessments to clarify the procedure for account discrepancies or waiver requests. These amendments, as published in February's issue of The Montclairion and attached below, will go into effect beginning Saturday, March 1, 2014.
