Boat and Dock/Shoreline Improvement Renewal Permits- Due, October 31.

Don’t forget that Wednesday, October 31 is the deadline to submit boat registration and dock/shoreline improvement registration renewals. Failure to turn in the appropriate paperwork and payments by November 10 at 5:00 p.m. will incur a $15 late fee for boat renewal and a late fee of $200 for dock and shoreline improvement renewals. Trunk or Treat was a Spooky Good Time!

The results are in for the annual trunk or treat competition! The top 3 trunks will be awarded a FAST PASS to jump to the front of the line to see Santa! Election Sign Reminder

The United States Senate election is approaching in November. Many Montclairions are voters, but we do ask that all residents observe the guidelines concerning political signs in our community. Article 5, Section 5.4.43 (h) “Political campaign signs are not permitted.” Please reach out to the MPOA at (703) 670-6187 with any concerns. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! Special Meeting

November 1st, 2018 at 6p.m. Location MPOA Building Special Meeting to discuss Management Contract with FirstService Executives and to conduct an interview with potential legal counsel. Motions from discussions will be presented at the next Board of Directors Meeting on November 14th, 2018.

Trunk or Treat!

Boo! The annual Trunk- or -Treat is this Saturday, October 27, at the Southlake Recreation Center Parking Lot. Come join us 3:30-5 p.m. for a spooktacular time! If you want to decorate your vehicle and pass out candy (provided by the MPOA) sign up here to ensure you get a spot, because vehicle space is limited. Don’t forget our trunk-or-treaters will vote on their favorite vehicle display! If selected, you will be given a special fast pass for Saturday with Santa, which means you get to beat the line!

Communication Committee Meetings

The Communication Committee has moved their meetings to the 4th Wednesday of each month. The revised meeting schedule is as follows October 24, November 28, December 26 and January 23. Please join us!

Lake Clean Up

Anyone assisting in the lake cleanup may dump floating debris from the lake at any of our 3 beaches. MPOA Maintenance Staff will be removing the debris from the beaches every Wednesday and Friday, weather permitting. Additionally, MPOA Maintenance Staff will be on the water with the barge removing large and small debris for several hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting. Notice of large floating debris may be called into the office or emailed to Phil Webber, MPOA Operations manager at Please be sure to include specific details in the notification so staff can locate it more easily. Staff will attempt to retrieve it the next time they are out.

Operation Turkey is coming to Montclair!

Thanksgiving is almost here. There are many people in Prince William County who would be thankful for a meal on Thanksgiving. The MPOA will start accepting donations for the PWC ACTS Operation Turkey beginning October 30. Needed items are listed below. Please drop off donations on or before noon on Friday, November 9 at the MPOA building. Board Contract Committee

The first meeting for Board Contract Committee will be held at the MPOA office on October 19,2018 at 2 p.m. The purpose of this ad-hoc sub- committee is to negotiate the contract modification presented by the management company.

Boat and Dock/Shoreline Improvement Registration has begun.

The MPOA office is now accepting applications for boat registration and dock permits. Forms for boat registration are available here and forms for dock permit/shoreline improvement registration are located here. Please contact the MPOA office at (703) 670-6187. Boat Registration All residents who own a boat must register it with the MPOA in order to use it on Lake Montclair. Boats that are stored at home may be registered with no charge. Any resident who desires to keep their boat at West Beach must pay a $25 fee per boat annually. Renewal is due by Wednesday, October 31. All boats stored at West Beach that are not registered by November 10 will be subjected to the $15 late fee and may be pu


If you would like a few bales of hay, you are welcome to pick them up from the Southlake parking lot before 1pm today. After that time, you can pick them up from the MPOA building. The bails are great for fall decorations or for use in fall grass seeding projects.
