Lake Update

We have finally reached the stage of repairing the sluice gate. The lake is currently at normal pool, therefore water is flowing over the primary spillway riser and making it unsafe for the diver to enter. We have opened the sluice gate to lower the lake approximately 1 - 2 feet, just enough to stop the spillover while the diver performs the repair. They are scheduled to return tomorrow morning, pending a safe work environment for the diver, to make the repair. The MPOA will assess the flow in the morning and report the conditions to the contractor. At this time, we plan for the gate to be closed tomorrow morning. With rain in the forecast this weekend, we anticipate the lake to return to normal pool soon.
