The Lego Batman Movie at Dolphin Beach

Don’t forget to join Batman and his companions tomorrow for The Lego Batman Movie. Will Batman be able to defeat his arch enemy, the Joker? Or will Gotham City fall for good? Find out on Saturday, July 29, 2017. The film will begin at sunset, approximately 8:30 p.m., but make sure to get there with plenty of time to spare in case the movie must be started early and to stake out a good seat. Remember, RPIDs will be required for entry to this event, so don’t forget to bring yours! Only two guests per pass. Swimming and other activities (such as basketball and playground activities) will not be permitted once the event begins.

Guideline changes to go into effect August 1, 2017

The Steel Drum Band for Beer on the Beach

Start the weekend with a cold drink, great friends, and relaxing music. Beer on the Beach will take place tomorrow, July 21, 2017 from 7:00 p.m-10:00 p.m. Recline on the sands of Dolphin Beach and listen to the tunes of the Steel Drum Band, set to perform at 7:30 p.m. Residents who are under 21 must leave the beach (including the playground, pavilion and dock), before 6:45 p.m. Only those 21 and over will be permitted onto the beach once the event begins, so don’t forget to bring a valid driver’s license and your RPID for entry! Remember, drinks are BYOB! Swimming and other activities will not be permitted during the event. See you there!

Black Bear Sighting in Montclair

Attention residents, a black bear was sighted in Montclair earlier this morning. Prince William County has not, as of now, released an official warning. However, residents are advised to not approach the bear if it is seen, and to exercise appropriate caution. Please keep in mind that there is no reason for alarm. Black bears have a natural distrust of humans and normally avoid people and crowded areas. To avoid attracting bears in your area, please make sure to, Remove bird feeders. Beer on the Beach, starring the Steel Drum Band

The summer continues with the second Beer on the Beach of the season. Take a load off at Dolphin Beach on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Relax with your neighbors, enjoy the sunset, and savor the taste of a cold, adult beverage while listening to the sounds of the Steel Drum Band, scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. Only residents 21 and older will be permitted onto the beach after 7:00 p.m. when the event begins. All residents on the beach who are under 21 must leave the premises (including the playground) before 6:45 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your updated Recreation Photo ID, a valid government-issued photo ID and, of course, your drinks!

MPOA Office closed July 4, 2017

The MPOA will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. Please note that emails and phone calls will not be monitored out of office. All questions and concerns will be addressed promptly when the office resumes normal business hours on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Thank you for your patience and have a wonderful Independence Day.

Street Closures Notification

Please be aware that Dolphin Drive (north of Boxwood Drive) and Spillway Lane will close at noon on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. The above mentioned streets will remain closed until 10:00 p.m. for the Independence Day Celebration. Admission to this area will be restricted to those with assigned parking passes who live on those streets. In addition to this, the dam path will close at 2:00 p.m. for set up of the fireworks. No access under any circumstances will be permitted on the path through 11:00 p.m. Parking passes will be distributed to those houses and any guests they might have on those streets.
