Montclair Community News – January 14, 2020 Lake Montclair Lowering Lake Montclair will be lowered by as much as 3 ft. starting on Friday, January 17, 2020 to safely install the back-up sluice gate. The installation is expected to take four days, with a target completion date of Friday, January 24, 2020. Lake Montclair Lowering Rescheduled
Due to forecasted precipitation this week and short notification received from the contractor, the installation of the back-up sluice gate has been postponed until Tuesday, January 21, 2020 (weather permitting). Therefore, the lake lowering process has been halted and the level will not be additionally lowered as previously announced. Lake Montclair Lowering Notice
On Monday, January 6, 2020, the water level of Lake Montclair will be lowered by no more than 3 ft. for continued repairs to the back-up sluice gate on the dam. The repairs are schedule to begin on January 7, 2020 pending any delays or weather constraints. Lakefront property owners are encouraged to take any necessary actions to protect their property while these repairs take place.
