Pipeline rehabilitation and stabilization at Lake Montclair

During the first week of June 2018, the Service Authority, together with its hired contractors, will be conducting rehabilitation and stabilization of an existing 10-inch pipeline that crosses Lake Montclair near the mouth of the lake's inlet from Powells Creek (far western portion of the lake, between Buena Vista Drive on the south side of the lake and end of Spring Branch Boulevard on the north side of the lake).

To accomplish this work the Service Authority will use some heavier, wheeled or tracked vehicles and equipment. These vehicles and equipment will gain access to the area from the Service Authority's existing easements on the north side of the lake, off of Spring Branch Boulevard. We will also deploy a temporary pumping system with a temporary above-ground pipeline so that we can bypass, and thereby isolate and drain the existing permanent pipeline.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the MPOA at your convenience at (703) 670-6187.
