MPOA Office Closed for Labor Day

Please note that the MPOA office will be closed on Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day weekend. Phone calls and emails will not be monitored out of office but will be promptly attended to once the office reopens on Tuesday, September 4. Thank you for your patience!

We Did It!

The time has come! The day is here! We have closed the gate on the primary spillway and are ready to allow the lake to start returning to normal pool. The spillway project will reach substantial completion by the end of the week. A punch list will be developed to address minor items and issues, but it is essentially complete. Until all punch list items have been addressed and we have reached final completion, Dolphin Beach remains an active construction site and should be avoided. Oans! Zwoa! Drei! G’Suffa! Join us for one of Montclair’s most celebrated events of the year on Saturday, September 29 at the Southlake Recreation Center ! Enjoy a variety of delicious food trucks, harvest games and music. As always there will be assortment of beers to enjoy, while the kids enjoy the pumpkin patch or bounce house. Dock Insurance/ Boat Registration- Coming Soon!

All hands hoay! Don’t forget starting October 1 the MPOA will begin accepting applications for renewed dock and shoreline improvement permits and boat registration forms for the 2018-2019 season. Both forms and their corresponding documentation must be submitted to the MPOA office by October 31. Residents who do not register their boats by November 10 will incur a $15 late fee. Residents who do not renew their dock and shoreline improvement permit registration will incur a $200 late fee unless proof is presented by November 10 that insurance was in effect since November 1, 2018. Oktoberfest Volunteers- Now Seeking

Have fun meeting and interacting with your fellow residents while volunteering for one of Montclair’s biggest events Oktoberfest! Students can also gain volunteer hours for school! There are plenty of fun opportunities for all who volunteer. If you are interested, please sign up here.

Cornhole Now at Hockersmith Park!

There is nothing corny about the new cornhole platforms that have been added to Hockersmith Park! Spend your last weeks of summer barbequing, playing basketball and now cornhole (bring your own bean bags). With all the new additions that the LFMC made possible, it is worth a visit!

Fish Habitat Volunteers Needed

This Saturday at 8:00am at West Beach a group of volunteers will be meeting to construct and install fish habitats around the West Beach area of the lake. If you are interested participating, simply show up at West Beach at 8:00am this Saturday. Come out and join us and get a sneak peek of where the good fishing spots will be!

Final Summer Movie Night of the Season!

If you missed the first two movie nights, no worries! Come join us for the adventure of four teens whose video game magically sends them into a wild jungle and transforms them into adults. Find out what’s in store for these four by watching Jumanji at Southlake Recreation Center on August 25. The movie starts at sunset, but residents will be admitted starting at 7:00 p.m. Come early to give yourself time to find the right spot for you. Recreation Photo IDs with updated 2018 stickers will be required for entry. Only two guests per unrestricted pass.

Budget and Finance committee meeting

If you are interested in attending, the meeting will be held August 23 at 7 p.m. All homeowners in good standing may fill out the committee volunteer form and turn it into the MPOA office.

Spillway Project Update

Dear Montclair owners, The spillway project continues to go very smoothly, only recently experiencing a minor delay due to the exorbitant amount of rain we received. The contractor is currently backfilling the area around the cutback protection wall. Once the wall is backfilled completely, and the projects being performed in areas that are typically underwater are completed, the lake can be allowed to start returning to its normal pool level.
