Armed Forces Day Lantern Launch – Tomorrow!

May 18, 2019 7:30pm-9:00pm Dolphin Beach NO RAIN DATE Please join us for this year's Armed Forces Day Lantern Launch. Members are invited to come down to the beach at dusk to join their friends and neighbors in honoring our military heroes who have served, or who are currently serving by launching a lantern from Dolphin Beach. Special appearances: Forest Park Brass Quartet Band, Felix Bartolette from the Forest Park High School Choir, and Montclair’s own Griggs Family. Lanterns are now available for pickup at the office, however, you are more than welcome to obtain a lantern and decorate it the day of the event. Dolphin Beach Construction Hazards

Please be aware several truckloads of sand are being delivered to Dolphin Beach tomorrow morning. Throughout the next few days, weather permitting, MPOA maintenance staff will be on-site to spread the sand on the beach in preparation of the swim season opening Memorial Day weekend. MPOA maintenance staff will also be adding stone and wood chips around the new pavilion and deck. The electrical and lighting project is expected to begin as soon as next week and may take as many as three weeks to complete. Residents are advised to keep away from work sites during this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve Dolphin Beach after completing the Spillway Project

MPOA Assessments – Due by May 10

Assessments pay for amenities such as landscaping, lake maintenance, community events, and other services. Assessments can be paid either in full at the beginning of the fiscal year, or in ten monthly installments. The fiscal year runs May through February, and the annual assessment is due May 1. Monthly assessments are due on the first day of each month, May through February. A processing fee of $2 per month is added to payments made monthly. Any assessment received after the tenth of the month by 5pm, will incur a $35 late fee. Dues for the 2019-2020 fiscal year are $570 or $59 a month for ten months. Community Yard Sale – This Weekend!

May 4-5 and October 5-6, 2019 NO RAIN DATE Want to turn a profit on your spring cleaning? Sell your previously loved items during the Community Yard Sale. No space rental fee required: this event is held right in your own yard! Host a street wide sale or get together with a group of friends to hunt for new-to-you treasures from your neighbors. The more buyers and sellers the better, so encourage your friends and neighbors to participate! May Yard Sale signs will be allowed in the front yard between May 1st and end of the day May 5th. Any yard sale signs left out prior or after the yard sale are in violation of Covenants guidelines. Do not post yard sale signs on VDOT posts.
