Recreation Photo ID Procedures

Don’t forget, if you have not already make sure to stop by the MPOA office to pick up your 2018 Recreation Photo ID (RPID) stickers. Come to the office Mondays-Fridays from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. to get yours. Remember, there are new procedures in place for RPIDs and RPID stickers. If you are a tenant or if you have tenants, make sure that you review of the following before obtaining your updated passes. Changes to Article 4, section 4.1.2 Recreation Photo IDs state that, “Non-resident Property Owners are only authorized to receive RPIDs for one household. Important Notice Regarding Lake Montclair

Dear Montclair Residents, We continue to see evidence of people entering the beaches and walking on the exposed lake bottom. This gives us great concern about the safety of those who are doing so. We appreciate the willingness to clean up the trash and other debris that is now exposed in some areas, but we must again insist that you resist the temptation to enter these areas for your own safety. We are currently considering putting a small group of staff and volunteers together to clean up the shoreline of common areas at some point during the project if conditions are found to be safe enough to do so. Guideline Changes Effective May 1

The following guidelines will go into effect starting May 1, Added information Removed Text Amendments to community Guidelines Article 3 Section 3.1.3 Attendance Attendance of committee members at monthly or scheduled committee meetings is vital to conduct business and vote on actions pending before the committee. Since quorum is required to vote on actions during a meeting, the following rules will apply to all Committees. Any member who has missed two-consecutive meetings will be considered inactive and not considered in determining quorum. Any member of the committee who misses three-consecutive meetings or half of the yearly meetings will no longer be considered a member of the committe

Reservations for Kids’ Dominion

Starting April 26, the MPOA will begin accepting picnic area reservations for the Recreation Season. Owing to the Spillway Alteration project, reservations will only be taken for Kids’ Dominion. Dolphin Beach, West Beach, and Beaver Landing will not be open this summer and therefore their respective pavilions cannot be set aside for reservations. Spring Community Yard Sale

Do you have any unwanted treasures you would like to get rid of? Then why not sell some of your items at the Spring Community Yard Sale. During the weekend of May 5-6 get together with your friends and neighbors to host a street wide yard sale. Or, go bargain hunting on your own! Spillway Project Update

Dear Montclair Residents, We are pleased to report that after the long process of trying to obtain the proper permits to begin the Spillway Project, the wait is over. We have been issued the permit necessary to start construction. Shirley Contracting, the contractor hired to complete the project, will be onsite on Wednesday, April 25th to begin construction. Please be reminded that all beaches and the lake itself remain closed until the completion of the project and until the lake returns to normal pool level. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we start the construction phase of becoming compliant with state regulations.

Earth Day

The May 1 assessment deadline is coming up fast. It might be time to start thinking about how you will pay your dues this year and what your options are. In addition to standard check or money order payments, the Association offers other choices as well.
