2019 Boat Auction

The MPOA will auction off all unclaimed or abandoned boats found on Lake Montclair, or boats located on the West Beach boat racks with expired/no registration stickers. Bids will be accepted beginning Monday, April 1st. Boats available for bidding will be located in the West Beach parking lot and clearly marked with a numbered sticker. Only bids from owners in good standing will be accepted. Limit one bid per household. Lake Level Update

The needed repairs to the dam have been successfully completed. The sluice gate has been closed since 8:00 am this morning. Considering the forecast for rain, we anticipate the lake will rise to normal pool through the next several days. Lake Update

We have finally reached the stage of repairing the sluice gate. The lake is currently at normal pool, therefore water is flowing over the primary spillway riser and making it unsafe for the diver to enter. We have opened the sluice gate to lower the lake approximately 1 - 2 feet, just enough to stop the spillover while the diver performs the repair. They are scheduled to return tomorrow morning, pending a safe work environment for the diver, to make the repair. The MPOA will assess the flow in the morning and report the conditions to the contractor. At this time, we plan for the gate to be closed tomorrow morning. Deadline – BALLOTS DUE

All electronic ballots are due today before 5:00 p.m. Members in good standing should have received a voting packet in the mail in February. Those who miss the electric deadline may also vote in person at the Annual Meeting this Saturday, March 9.

Covenants Sub-Committee Announcement

The Covenants Sub-Committee has been established. Their mission is to fine-tune Article 5 and the Architectural guidelines. Their first official meeting occurs 03/06/2019, from 6-8pm at the MPOA office building and is open to the public. They will continue to meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month.

Boat Registration

Please ensure boats stored on boat racks at West Beach are properly registered with the MPOA office. Boats that are registered should currently display an October 2019 sticker, in addition to the orange Montclair sticker with a 4-digit registration number. If your boat is not registered, please complete the Boat Registration form and return it, along with a photo of your boat, to the MPOA office as soon as possible. You must submit the necessary information in person in order to receive stickers. Boats that were not registered by October 31, 2018 will incur a $15 late fee when renewing their registration. Trash/Recycling Reminder

Please be advised that the designated day for trash pick-up is every Monday and Thursday and recycling pick-up is every Monday. Per Section 5.4.46 of the MPOA Guidelines, trash containers are to be stored out of public view and not to be placed on the curbside before dusk on the day prior to pick-up, and are to be removed by the end of the designated pick-up day. If you are in a sub association, trash MUST be stored in the rear yard or garage and not anywhere in the front or side yards. *Revised

Annual Meeting – March 9

This year’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at the Southlake Recreation Center. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and call-to-order at 10:00 a.m. All Members in good standing may vote at the meeting, if they have not already cast a vote via mail, fax, or electronically. The FY2020 Budget will also be presented at the meeting. We look forward to seeing you all then!
